Grace, Nanny and I went to Columbia, Tennessee on Saturday to attend Virginia and Lee's wedding. Virginia and my mom are sorority sisters and we are still good friends so this event couldn't be missed! Jon and I took Grace to her first wedding when she was 6 months old and she was perfect so I thought that with a full cup of juice, snacks and a couple of toys we would be ok. WRONG! As the grandmothers were being seated, Grace started pitching a fit. As much as I love weddings (especially the wedding procession!) I was not about to let her out shine the beautiful bride, so I quickly scooped her up. We tried the baby viewing room but she screamed in there as well so we just went outside. There was a horse and carriage waiting on the bride and groom so at least we had something to do outside. She was pretty wound up at the reception so after chasing her all over the church, I am just a mess in this picture!
I tried so hard to get a pretty picture of her in front of the church steps, but I just can't get my girl to look at the camera!
Grace spent today at Nana and Grand Dad's and I got a much needed nap! How can you need a weekend from your weekend?? I know she had fun today because she is smiling like I wish she would smile for pictures!
