Back to the Hospital

Jack's well appointment revealed that he had lost a little too much weight and his billy rubin levels were up. They weren't sky high by any means but with Thanksgiving being in just two days and the doctor's offices closing, our doctor suggested Jack spend a night under the UV lamp.

This little man LOVED his trip to the "beach!"

By this point I was the most exhausted I do believe I have ever been. I missed Grace and being home and thought a lot about how parents of children with serious, life threatening illnesses must feel. It really humbled me and I said several prayers that night thanking God for our health and happiness and every blessing He gives us.

Jack's morning blood test proved that the UV lamp had done it's job and his billy rubin levels were fine and we could go home!

Sick

Grace stayed home from school all week. After three doctor visits it was determined that she has tonsilitis. This is the first day since last Sunday that she has not had a fever so we are hoping the worst is over. Having a fever for so many days has made her tired and achy.
Daddy made her time stuck inside the house a little better by getting two of the Toy Story movies because she (and I) had not seen them. We watched 2 and 3 last night and laughed so hard!

Not Feeling Well....

Grace was all smiles this morning...

But I should have known when she didn't want to sit by her pal, Nisaiah, she didn't feel well.

Just a couple of hours later I got an email from Mrs. Susan saying that she had a low grade fever (100) and had been crying all morning. She said she could stay at school but she just wanted to let me know. I was very thankful that she let me know because since this crud has been going on for over a week now, I knew we needed to go back to the doctor. I was lucky to quickly get a substitute and I went to get my sweet girl. It was obvious something was wrong when I picked her up. We saw the doctor who did x-rays and found that her lungs are just full of junk, which made sense because this afternoon she sounds like a coffee grinder. She got a shot and we headed home. I'm hoping the shot will fix her up in no time!
