This illustrates life perfectly right now.
Grace has always been happy to arrive at school, until today that is. She clung to me like a monkey on a tree and screamed "Nnnnnno Momma!" As much as I wanted to take her home I had to leave her in sweet Ms. Sharon's arms. I called around noon to check on her and found out that she had not been so nice to the other children telling all of them "Nnnnnno!" for every little thing. She (deservingly) earned herself a time out and was fine after that. When we got home she would not let me put her down but after about an hour of this I decided I had to put her down and do some things around the house. She screamed and cried and as far as her Daddy and I can tell, she's teething just a bit but there is nothing we can find that would cause her to act this way. Could it be... the terrible twos?? Not only does she say "No" to anything and everything she doesn't want to do but she also points her finger with such an attitude. Where has this come from??? She finally played by herself in her room for just a bit while I cooked dinner. When I went in to check on her, this is what I found...
Please notice the hair bow in mid-air.
At times this new behavior is kind of funny but it can also be a little frustrating. But then I see her doing something like this and I just stare at her in wonder...
Thank you, God, for choosing me to be Grace's mommy!!
